Lexington KY Emergency Dentist

Head-and-shoulders photo of a strawberry-blonde woman sitting on a white couch and smiling, for information on Lexington Emergency Dentist from Kentucky Dental Group.A nagging toothache, a broken crown, or trauma to your face. All are good reasons to see an emergency dentist. Call Kentucky Dental Group, and we’ll see you today—even if you’re not a current patient. We will examine your tooth, quickly relieve your pain, and let you know your treatment options.

Reasons to See an Emergency Dentist

If you’ve put off seeing a dentist, don’t be embarrassed. It’s important to have your tooth examined as quickly as possible so the problem won’t get worse. Several reasons to see an emergency dentist include:

  • Toothache – A toothache is usually a symptom of an infection. And without treatment, it will progress. Root canal treatment is needed to remove the infected tissue inside your tooth and replace it with a dental filler material. A dental crown is placed over the tooth to protect it.
  • Cracked tooth – Although the pain may come and go, it still needs attention. When a tooth is cracked, the inner soft tissue, or pulp, can become irritated. If it’s left untreated, the pulp will be damaged. Without dental care, a crack can become more extensive, and you might lose the tooth.
  • Trauma – An accident or sports injury can damage teeth. A tooth doesn’t have to hurt, be loose, or get knocked out to be damaged. Even it looks and feels okay, if there was trauma to your tooth, it’s best to have it examined.
  • Broken or lost crown – A dental crown protects a damaged tooth. If a crown is broken or lost, it needs to be replaced to prevent further damage to your natural tooth.

About Us
Upon arrival, our staff will great you.

Upon arrival, our staff will greet you and give you a tour of the office. After we talk with you about your health history and dental health goals, the dentist will perform a comprehensive evaluation, including a thorough hard and soft tissue exam. After the hygienist cleans your teeth, we will share the results of your exam and, if necessary, explore your options for treatment.

We offer same-day appointments for dental emergencies.

“After an accident that cracked my front teeth, the emergency room plastic surgeon recommended Dr. Weaver. I'm so glad he did! Dr. Weaver put me at ease through multiple procedures and appointments. He went above and beyond explaining each one and I am very happy with the results! The office staff was friendly and efficient and there was never a wait for an appointment. My entire family now goes to Dr. Weaver. Wish I could give him more than five stars!”
